8th Annual Songwriters Night a Huge Success!

This past Tuesday night over 450 people gathered in Liberty Hall at the Factory in Franklin to support BrightStone. A wonderful group of songwriters, artists and entertainers pleased the crowd with many popular favorites. Chris Janson, relative newcomer on the scene, rocked the crowd with his guitar and harmonica combination. And of course, the highlight of the evening, was Trace Adkins. A Dream Come True Catering supplied the awesome buffet......and many guests went home with treasures and finds from the silent auction. Over $120,000 was raised to support BrightStone's mission of providing job training and life skills learning for adults with special needs.

Enjoy this short clip from Chris Janson's talented performance! More photos to follow later!

The musical performances throughout the evening showcased local talent. Kicking off the lineup was local favorite Jack Grant, followed by several selections by the youthful musical talent of Alannah Rudd, Jordyn Shellhart and Natalie Shuff. The highlight of the evening was Jamie O’Neal with friends Stephanie Bentley, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Minnie Murphy. They simply “wowed” the crowd with their powerful and emotionally charged performance in the round, which included a variety of audience favorites. For the first time ever, a silent auction enhanced the evening and provided a variety of products and gift certificates for the bidding pleasure of the guests, including several unique and beautiful ceramic pieces designed and signed by BrightStone adults. A signed guitar from Kenny Chesney was a hit as a live auction item. And as always, a wide array of BrightStone gift and decorative products was available for purchase.
