BrightStone Artists--SOLD!!

BrightStone adults had a great showing in the recent art show "An Artist's Window" held in Franklin. A number of ceramic pieces were entered, resulting in a 2nd place winner, Jon Hasty, and an honorable mention for Michael Spaulding. The art show featured adult artists with developmental disabilities. BrightStone art was quickly sold, much to the delight of the adult students, family members and staff!

BrightStone Thanks The ADAM Group

BrightStone students recently visited their neighbors at The ADAM Group to thank them for their recent contribution to BrightStone. The employees of The ADAM Group provided a donation to BrightStone in lieu of exchanging Christmas gifts with each other this past December.

St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Visit by Leadership Franklin

Members of the current class of Leadership Franklin recently visited BrightStone to learn more about our mission during their "Quality of Life" day. They received an overview from Brenda Hauk, Executive Director and a tour of the job training, learning lab and volunteer areas.

Franklin Jazz Festival to Benefit BrightStone

BrightStone is thrilled to be named one of two recipients of the net proceeds of the 2009 Franklin Jazz Festival. Events in downtown Franklin draw such a crowd! We are pleased that the community of adults with developmental disabilities will benefit from this year's event!

Students Say Thank You

This morning members of the Songwriters Night committee gathered for a re-cap of the recent event. At the beginning of the meeting, students presented a rose, a hug and a signed thank-you card to each committee member. What a thank you!
