Star of the Week: Kelly M.

Here is a little Kelly trivia....Kelly was unable to be in the BrightStone Christmas Program this year because the day of the performance she came down with the chicken pox. She was very upset, as it is her time to shine with her precious little voice. She kept saying to her mom she was letting everybody down. Kelly is doing great now and tells us her Brightstone favorites are glazing ceramics, playing basketball, learning activities on the computer and helping cook lunch. Good job, Kelly!

Star of the Week: Kate Snow

Miss Kate is a BrightStone girl. She never wants to miss any of our acitivities and is very caring about all her friends. She watches out for everyone and always tries to help out when she can. Kate seems to enjoy everything we do at BrightStone, but she tells us her favorites are working in mixes, shopping, learning activities oin the computer, playing basketball and helping serve lunch. We are proud of you, Kate!

Christmas continues at BrightStone!

Gifts that keep on giving have been arriving at BrightStone this week! Thanks to our supporters for a Cuisinart food processor, blender and egg cooker.

And another big thanks to Healthways for donating a new frost-free freezer! Theresa is overjoyed, and we all couldn't be happier!

Introducing the new BrightStone Weather Hotline!

Several parents mentioned that it would be a help if there were a way everyone could call in to find out if BrightStone is closed because of the weather.

So, we would like to introduce you to the new BrightStone Weather Hotline! If the weather looks questionable, call this number in the morning to find out if BrightStone is open or closed. You may call the night before, too - we will get the message updated as soon as a decision has been made about road conditions.

The BrightStone Weather Hotline is: 807.0634.

This number is informational only. If you need to get in touch with someone, or leave a message for someone, please call our regular number (790.4888).

We hope this helps make snow days a little easier! We will continue contacting area TV stations about closings, so you may still rely on that medium.

Star of the Week: Philip

Philip is our tall, handsome gentleman. He is very considerate of others and always insists that ladies go first. He's a great ambassador for BrightStone and has great comments when put before an audience. Philip's BrightStone favorites are painting, learning activities on the computer, going to the library, and stretching exercises. He is also a country music fan and anjoys eating at O'Charley's. Good job, Philip!

Star of the Week: Stephanie

Stephanie's smile beamed when her name was called as class star. She has a great, can-do attitude and takes great pride in her work. Her BrightStone favorites include mixes, learning activities on the computer, shopping, playing basketball and helping serve lunch. During her her leisure time she enjoys listening to the Beach Boys and eating at Red Lobster. Way to go, Stephanie!

Star of the Week: Tammy
At the Christmas Reception, Tammy was the howling dog in the song "How Much is that Doggie in the Window". We couldn't have found anyone to do the part better; Tammy's an excellent howler! She is also good at all of our BrightStone jobs and her favorites are working in the paint room, helping serve lunch, computer activities, bowling and squishy ball toss. Good job, Tammy!



















Star of the Week: Katie A.
If you came to the Christmas Reception, you saw Katie in all her glory singing "All I Want for christmas is My Two Front Teeth". Give her a microphone and she's happy! Katie has a good time when she comes to BrightStone and her favorite activities are working in mixes, cooking, math worksheets and exercising with Melissa. Way to go, Katie!

Tara's ready for winter!

We thought Tara looked so cute when she arrived at school this morning, that we wanted to share her photo with everyone. She's definitely decked out for winter!
