Yesterday BrightStone honored our 2008 volunteers with the theme "You are an Essential Piece". A total of 50 volunteers joined our staff and students for a special appreciation luncheon. Each volunteer's service was recognized and they were given a puzzle piece that completed a photo of BrightStone's students and teaching staff. The BrightStone adults entertained with several musical selections, led by volunteer Judy Fincannon. Dr. Cathy Stallworth shared her appreciation from a family for the important work and the time commitment from the volunteers. Long time volunteer Mary Barnes was recognized as "Volunteer of the Year". Mary gives one day each week to assist in the job training area of BrightStone, in addition to other things throughout the year. It was a wonderful, joyous celebration!
