STAR OF THE WEEK-TARA

Tara takes life seriously. She puts great thought and her best effort into all of our activities. Tara's top picks for her BrightStone favorites are painting, learning activities on the computer, helping prepare lunch and exercising on the ergometer. During her leisure time she enjoys watching the Andy Griffith show, listening to oldies music, eating at Logan's and watching NASCAR!

Star of the Week: Don

Don comes in every morning wearing his ball cap and one of his favorite tee-shirts. He enjoys participating in all of our activities, especially playing ball at the YMCA, working in the paint room, bowling, and helping cook lunch. In his leisure time, Don enjoys watching game shows and eating at Taco Bell. Good job, Don!

Star of the Week: Mike

BrightStone has several die-hard country music fans, and Mike is at the top of the list! When his family takes him to the Grand Ole Opry, he has a ball. Mike's BrightStone favorites are stretching exercises, working in ceramics, doing computer activities, and going to the library. Way to go, Mike!

Star of the Week: Kelly U.

Kelly was filled with pride when her name was called as Star of the Week. She came marching to the front of the room with an "Oh! I can't believe it's me!" smile on her face. In her leisure time, Kelly enjoys watching Wheel of Fortune and dancing to oldies music. While she is at BrightStone, her favorites are painting, going to the library, grocery shopping, and helping cook lumch. We are proud of you, Kelly!

Star of the Week: Barbara D.

Barbara likes to keep busy reading, drawing, or checking out the unlimited opportunities on her new iPad. She also enjoys shopping with friends or family and watching "Dancing with the Stars." Her BrightStone favorites include stretching exercises, working in mixes, bowling, computer activities, and helping cook lunch. Good job, Barbara!

Star of the Week: Jenny

Jenny didn't feel well for a few months last year, but now she feels better than ever! She's back to her old self; she tidies up after everyone in the multi-purpose room and gives a few orders, such as "Come on, let's go!" (laughing as she says it). Jenny's BrightStone favorites include working in the paint room, playing basketball, bowling, and doing worksheets in the Learning Lab. Way to go, Jenny!

Star of the Week: Ali

If you came to the Christmas Program, you'll remember Ali rolling across the floor with Elvis sunglasses and a black Cadillac attached to his wheelchair. It was a great "Kodak moment"! Ali enjoys rolling his wheelchair around after lunch and visiting with his BrightStone friends. He also enjoys working in the paint room, playing ball at the YMCA, computer activities in the Learning Lab, and bowling. Good job, Ali!
