Picture Day!

Yesterday was exciting as we loaded up all students, teachers and staff for a new BrightStone photo. My, how BrightStone has grown! Here we are, getting placed in just the right spot, by our photographer. Can't wait to see the new photo!

Students Kate Snow, Mike Schwendimann and Kelly Urban are featured in a photo and article in today's Williamson AM relating to a recent $1000 contribution from the Battlefield Region Antique Automobile Club of America.

Ice Cream at BancorpSouth!

Two BrightStone students, Bobby Pazouki and Barbi Duell, accompanied Ms. Sara, Ms. Tina and Ms. Leslie to BancorpSouth for free ice cream in their lobby!

BancorpSouth purchases BrightStone products to use as client gifts.

We LOVE Our Volunteers!

Several volunteers arrived this afternoon and have been busily working with our ceramics products. Lots of laughter and talk have been coming from the Ceramics Room! THANK YOU BrightStone Volunteers!

Calling Our Friend Jock

This morning students gathered around to make a phone call to their friend, Jock, a fellow student who has been at home recovering from surgery. We miss you Jock and hope to see you back at BrightStone soon!

A First for BrightStone!

Today, student Jon Hasty had the honor of pouring the first ceramic mold at BrightStone, a nativity figurine. Utilizing recently acquired donated equipment, this step signifies a new job and process for BrightStone students, and will further expand our ceramic product line!

We Love our Teachers!

This afternoon, thanks to the leadership of parents Rita Brockman and Aileen Schwendimann, our teachers were treated to a wonderful surprise....

Students first "toasted" them with a glass of sparkling grape juice for their dedication and commitment. Then, each teacher was presented with a lovely bag, stuffed with all kinds of goodies with which to pamper themselves. They then loaded into a white stretch limousine and were whisked away to a destination unknown---which turned out to be Cheekwood's Pineapple Room--for lunch!

The limousine then returned them, safe and sound, to BrightStone before the student's dismissal. Dru, Jill, Lauren, Lettie, Theresa, Sherri and Martha--WE LOVE YOU! And thanks for all you do!

We're Back!

BrightStone students returned this week following a Summer Break. It's been a cheerful week---everyone has been happy to see their friends. Ms. Jill has returned following her maternity leave, and Ms. Sherri is sporting a new haircut!
